02. Sanitation:


  • Ensure students use of clean school uniform, clean bag, tiffin box and water container.
  • At the entrance of the classroom, if there is any dust and dirt, put it in the dustbin with a specific cover and clean the dustbin papers after the class break.
  • Cleaning of classroom chairs-tables-benches-white board-electrical fans etc. before students enter the classroom.


  • It is mandatory to keep fresh water jars with filters and multiple drinking glasses in front of each classroom.
  • After a day, change the water and fill the jar with new water.
  • Ensure that the feed water tank is clean.







  • Ensure proper disposal of sanitary napkins in girls' wash block. Eg: Sterile Gauze Piece Roller, Scissors, Leucoplast, Antiseptic Lotions like Medical Cotton Bar, Savlon, Dettol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Povsave, Dress-out Crimp, Toilet Tissue, Hand Gloves, Johnson Soap, Adhesive Tape, Hygienic Duster Cloth etc.
  • Spraying bleaching powder on exterior of sanitary/latins.
  • All students should be encouraged to wear toilet sandals to use the toilet.
  • Ensuring that water is stored in small buckets in front of the male and female sanitary/latins.
  • Ensure use of hand sanitizer/sanitary soap/hand wash in student sanitary/latrines and wash blocks.

• Storeroom cleaning Check for rodent and insect nests and kill them.
• Exterminate spider nests on the surface of the wall, if present.
• Cleaning of classroom chairs-tables-benches-white board-electrical fans etc before students enter the classroom.


• Check that the floor and walls are clean.
• Store hazardous chemicals in a safe place.
• Clean up any unused or unusable items.


• Regular discussions on cleanliness and health awareness of mothers/guardians through school assemblies or through phone calls can be taken to help parents in this regard.

• Watering and introduction of flower tubs to enhance the beauty of the exterior of the institution.
• Stopping any wall writing other than slogans on the walls of the organization.


• Mandatory placing of fresh water jars with filters and multiple drinking glasses in front of each classroom.
• After a day, change the water and fill the jar with fresh water.
• Wash drinking vessels thoroughly with soap or ash.

• In order to sustain this operation, the inspector of the establishment shall regularly observe and record whether the instructions of the circular regarding cleanliness are properly implemented.

• Upazila or District Health Karma / Doctor / Officer may be invited to the educational institution to give necessary health and cleanliness tips or for health examination to all the students.

• To organize a clean program in the institution with the cooperation of the head (superintendent) students and teachers without disrupting the education program.
• In this programme, the local administration and public figures of the society, students/guardians may be invited to the institute.


• To reward teachers/students who contribute more in keeping the classroom clean.


• Washing students with sanitary/latin harpic or phenyl.
• Spraying of bleaching powder on the exterior of the sanitary/latins.
